Dr. Tom Hackett, Chair
Dr. Paul (Tom) Hackett

Paul T. (Tom) Hackett served as a high school English, drama, and
fine arts teacher at Central High School for six years.
Later he served as an administrator in both the Phenix City and
Alexander City, Alabama school systems working as an assistant
principal, an elementary school principal, a middle school
principal, a system-level chief of operations, and a
superintendent. He is presently an Associate Professor of
Educational Leadership at Columbus State University. |
Dr. Michael Baltimore |
 |
Dr. Baltimore
earned his Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from
Auburn University. He has worked in a number of community mental
health settings, including supervision of treatment programs for a
residential mental health center, and has a private practice for
LPC and LMFT Supervision. He is Co-Editor of the Journal of
Technology in Counseling published in the Department. He is a
Nationally Certified Counselor, a Licensed Professional Counselor,
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Clinical Member and
Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and
Family Therapy. |

Dr. Walter Breaux |
 |
Dr. Walter Breaux, III recently completed his PhD in Counselor
Education with an emphasis in Human Services Counseling from the
University of New Orleans. He received a MA in Mental Health
Counseling and a BS in Psychology from Xavier University of
Louisiana. He has served as an adjunct professor at Loyola
University and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the
University of
New Orleans.
Dr. Breaux is an LPC, LMFT, and NCC. He has also served in a
variety of community/school counseling settings. |
Dr. Patricia Duttera |

Dr. Patricia P.
Duttera joins the Educational Leadership Program following 3 years
as a program improvement specialist with the Georgia Department of
Education. Dr. Duttera has extensive teaching and administrative
experience in the Georgia public schools having served as a middle
school principal, high school assistant principal, a curriculum
coordinator at the system level, and as an elementary and middle
school teacher. She received her doctorate in Educational
Leadership from Auburn University. |
Dr.
Lenoir Gillam |
 |
Dr. Lenoir Gillam began teaching at CSU in January, 1998. She
received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from The University of
Georgia and has worked in schools, community agencies, and
counseling centers. She is a member of APA (and several divisions
within APA), GPA, ACA, ACES, and ASGW. She is also an LPC and
licensed psychologist in Georgia and a nationally certified
counselor. Her research agenda and special interests include
school counseling, group work, multicultural issues, special
education, and supervision and training. In addition, she
serves as Coordinator of the School Counseling Program. |
Dr. Martha Hall

Dr. Hall
earned her Ed. D in Educational Administration from Auburn
University. She has served as Intermediate School Principal,
Assistant Superintendent for curriculum, Chair for the School of
Education, Team Leader for the Alabama State Department of
Education and Interim Superintendent. Currently she is finalizing
a training manual for teachers. |
Dr. Mike Hall |

Dr. Richard (Ric) Long |
 |
Dr. Long earned his
Ph.D. in Communication from Southern Illinois University. He holds
a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy from Southern Connecticut
State University. He is a clinical member of the American
Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and an Approved
Supervisor. He serves as the faculty advisor to the
Counseling Student Association (CoSa). In addition to his teaching
responsibilities, he supervises therapy at The Family Center, a
community mental health center, and sees individuals, couples and
families.

Dr. Mike Mangum

Dr.
Michael Mangum received his bachelor and Ph.D. degrees from
Florida State University and his master degree from Wake Forest
University.
He came to CSU from Louisiana State University in 1988.
He serves as Coordinator of our Exercise Science Program and
Exercise Physiology Lab.
He and his wife Sue have two children, Daniel and Mary Kate, and
live in Thomaston, Georgia.
Dr. Mangum’s time away from CSU is spent in a variety of family
activities, farming and – he is known to “go huntin” on short
notice.

Dr. Clay Nicks |

Dr. Clay Nicks arrived at CSU in
the Fall of 2005 as an Assistant Professor in the Exercise Science
program. He earned his Ph.D. in Human Performance with an emphasis
in Exercise Science from Middle Tennessee State University. He is
HFI certified through ASCM and is also a member of the NSCA. Prior
to his arrival at CSU, he was at Lipscomb University, serving as
Head Coach of the Cross-Country /
Track & Field programs and teaching in the Department of
Kinesiology. |
Dr. Donna Pascoe

Dr. Pascoe
earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Auburn University
in Alabama. She coordinates the Collaborative Doctoral Program in
Educational Leadership between Valdosta State University and
Columbus State University. She is a member of the CSU
Faculty Senate representing the CELPS Department and College of
Education. Dr. Pascoe also is the Department Coordinator for the
Curriculum Committee and a member of the COE Curriculum Committee.
She is a representative for the COE Who's Who Selection committee.

Ms. Patty Jamieson,
Coord.of Graduate Records, Counseling Secretary

Ms. Jamieson is the
Coordinator of Graduate Records for the College of Education and
serves as the Administrative Secretary for the Department. She
assists graduate students and faculty throughout the College of
Education. |
